Whats up the Lakers?

 LA Lakers were on a 18-1 winning streak and winning 9 games in a row when the Lakers just lost the 3 games in a row (including tonights lost against the Golden State Warriors). They have lost to Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz at home and Golden State Warriors on the road. The Lakers have 4 games left before the playoffs begin. They need to step up their game if they want to stay in the 2 spot of the Western Conference standings. Their last games are: April 8 at Portland TrailBlazers, April 10 at home vs Oklahoma City Thunder, April 12 at home vs San Antonio Spurs and April 13 at Sacramento Kings. Lakers need to the all 4 of these games in order to keep in pace with staying the #2 spot of the Western Conference standings and head of the Dallas Mavericks. So, lets go Lakers! Lets show these people whos boss!!!

Lakers Playoff push.....

The LA Lakers are currently sitting in the #2 spot of the Western Conference standings at 50-20. There are 12 games left until the playoffs start and the Lakers already have their eyes set on staying in the #2 spot so that when the playoffs start, they will have homecourt advantage during the first 2 rounds of the playoffs. Looking at the Western Conference standings now:

1. San Antonio Spurs (56-13)
2. Los Angeles Lakers (50-20)
3. Dallas Mavericks (49-21)
4. Oklahoma City Thunder (45-24)
5. Denver Nuggets (41-29)
6. Portland TrailBlazers (40-30)
7. New Orleans Hornets (40-31)
8. Memphis Grizzles (38-32)

If the playoffs were to start today, the potential matchups would be:

1. San Antonio Spurs Vs. 8. Memphis Grizzles
2. Los Angeles Lakers vs. 7. New Orleans Hornets
3. Dallas Mavericks vs. 6. Portland TrailBlazers
4. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. 5. Denver Nuggets

But if it so happens that the Lakers end up in the #3 spot at the end of the regular season, it would mean that they wont have homecourt advantage during the first 2 rounds of the playoffs, would have to play the tougher teams during the first 2 rounds and they would be on the road during most of these games. 

So as the Lakers are playing their last 12 games of the regular season , they need to keep in mind that each game they are playing for is for homecourt advantage during the first 2 rounds of the playoffs and by being in the #2 spot it will make their chances of winning a 3rd NBA title a more little more smoother to accomplish.

ps Congrats on the LA Lakers formally clinching a playoff berth and wrapping up their fourth consecutive Pacific Division title and 50-victory season.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers are the 2 time defending NBA champs are are seeking for their 3rd NBA championship this season under the Hall of fame head coach Phil Jackson. Lakers have been on a serious tear  of winning games since the All Star break. They have won 11 of 12 games and their only lost came from the Miami Heat, But the Lakers  are playing some serious defense and showing the rest of the league that they are still the 2 time defending NBA champs and anyone eles who want to win the title this year is going to beat LA first. 

Phil Jackson has recently mentioned that this will his last season coaching in the NBA. So this would be awesome send off gift if the Lakers can win their 3 straight NBA title and it will Jackson's 12th and NBA league leading in NBA titles as a head coach. So I hope that the rest of the teams will be ready to face the LA Lakers head on if they want to have any chance of being the last team standing at the end of the season in June.....

Remake of childhood movies.....

There are a lot of movie that are being made have been a remake of childhood movies. For an example, Beastly is a remake of the childhood movie "Beauty and the Beast", Red Riding Hood is a remake of the childhood story of "Little Red Riding Hood" and Gnomeo and Juliet is a remake of the one of the famous Shakespeare love story of Romeo and Juliet. I guess that these directors wanted to remake these childhood movies so that they can add a different spin or change or add to the ending the original movie and/or story. I just watched Beastly featuring Vanessa Hudgens and Alex Pettyfer, the storyline was quite similar to the childhood movie and story "Beauty and the Beast" but with a modern day feel. I don't want to ruin the whole movie but you should go out and watch it.  Enjoy....
